BackCAT Qualifiers at the May 1,2 1999 NADAC Trial

CAT’s recent NADAC/ASCA trial at the Clark County Fairgrounds attracted more than 250 handlers and their dogs from all over the Northwest, including a few prominent judges who, along with others, were quite an inspiration to watch. The May 1-2 trial came on the heels of the two-day Jane Simmons-Moake seminar, and judging by comments at ringside, many of Jane’s handling tips were being immediately put to use in the trial by CAT members who had attended the seminar. The trial, like the seminar, was well supported by CAT members – 68 of us came away with Q’s. One person, Sandy Cranford with Sheltie Triss, took home eight Elite legs! And new member Judy Weinstein with her Portugese Water Dog, Xuxa, earned two Novice titles with placements for every Q!

What follows is a listing of CAT club members and their dogs who earned Q’s at the trial. I have tried to include everyone, but if I’ve missed you or reported something incorrectly, please let me know so that we can include your well-earned Q’s in the next newsletter. As always, I need members to tell me if titles have been earned, since this information is not recorded at a local level. My computer has been down for about two weeks, so if you’ve e-mailed me with results and brags, they will be included in the next newsletter.
